June 2016 was a sizzling month for comic book sales and fans were not disappointed. There were numerous number one comic books, graphic novels and mangas released for sale in June of 2016. Whether it was DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics or one of the many other comic book publishers fans had their choice of great comic books to choose from.
DC Comics was the powerhouse in comic book sales for the month June 2016 with the all-new Rebirth storyline. The Rebirth storyline is a 2016 relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books. DC Comics used the end of The New 52 story in May 2016 as its launching point, the Rebirth is intended to restore the DC Universe to a form much like that prior to the Flashpoint storyline while still incorporating numerous elements of The New 52, including its continuity. Number one comics released this month included from the Rebirth storyline Justice League, Nightwing, New Superman and Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. These were just a few of the best selling comic books that were released in June 2016 for purchase.
Marvel comics Civil War II continued with Captain Marvel and Iron Man at odds with each other, will this war end before all of our beloved super-heroes are perished? Deadpool wants in as well, and he and the Mercs for Money jump into the Civil War in June 2016 with issue #14. Star Wars Han Solo made his debut in his very own comic book, Star Wars: Hans Solo #1 from Marvel Comics.
Image Comics and popular writer Robert Kirkman continued the ultimate comic book experience in The Walking Dead, just who are the walking dead? Zombies or the remaining humans? Join Rick, Carl and all of favorite survivors to find out the answer!
