October 2015 was an amazing month for comic books. Comic Book Fans had their pick of the best and most awesome comic book story lines to hit the shelves of comic shops everywhere. From DC Comics to Zenescope Comics fans had their pick of both the hottest new titles and most popular Ongoing titles, all of which led to a whopping 8% up-shot in comic book sales from the previous month.
The best-selling comic book in October 2015 according to information provided by Diamond Comic Distributors was Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez's Invincible Iron Man #1 from Marvel Comics. In fact, Marvel Comics took all of the top-ten selling comic books with Amazing Spider Man # 1, one of the highly anticipated comic books released in October and coming in at second place. The always popular Spider-Gwen # 1 and Secret Wars # 6 followed. Doctor Strange # 1, Star Wars # 10, Chewbacca # 1 and Journey Star Wars Fase #2, Guardians of the Galaxy # 1 and Spider-Man # 2.
Image Comics was the number three comic book publisher in sales for October with Paper Girls #1 and The Walking Dead #147. IDW Comics came in fourth of the top five in sales with these comic books for sale Back to the Future #1, TMNT #50 and everyone’s favorite rock band Jem and The Holograms Outrageous Annual #1. Dark Horse Comics rounded out the top five in fifth place with the always popular comic book Fight Club 2 #6.
The top-selling non-premier comic in October was Warren Ellis James Bond #1 for Dynamite Entertainment. Archie Comics had a few titles in October that hit the charts as well, with Jughead #1 and Sonic the Hedgehog #277. Oni Comics published a new Invader Zim #4 and Dynamite published an all-new Grumpy Cat #1. Valiant Comics gave fans a brand new Book of Death #4 and Titan Comics brought comic book fans a new tale with, Heroes: Vengeance #1.
The best-selling graphic novel in October came from Neil Gaiman and J.H. Williams III's The Sandman Overture Deluxe Edition, a prelude to Gaiman's acclaimed Sandman series from DC Entertainment.
