Marvel Comic's Controversial Comic Book Mini-Series... Secret Empire Comic Books Can be Found Here at White Dragon Comics!
Marvel Comics has published several comic book cross-overs, events and storylines and while many were huge successes there was one that was extremely controversial, "Secret Empire." Secret Empire began publication in 2017 following Avengers: Standoff! and the ongoing series Captain America Steve Rogers. This limited series would explain the aftermath in which Captain America was turned into a sleeper agent for Hydra.
Marvel Comics’ Secret Empire would only have a run of nine comic book issues and a prelude zero issue. The main purpose for this mini-series was to unite the Marvel Heroes after the Civil War II and Inhumans vs X-Men story.
The Secret Empire storyline deals with Captain America’s double-agent status. The sentient Cosmic Cube Kobik had affected Captain Americas as his memories were changed to believe that he was in fact a “sleeper” agent for Hydra. Kobik was used by Red Skull to accomplish this goal. This would cause Marvel’s Superheroes to unite again and rebel against their former leader and friend to prevent Hydra from taking control of our world!
The Agents of Shield television show aired concurrently with early issue of Secret Empire, featuring the Agents of Hydra arc, both storylines, television and the comic book shared many similarities.
Secret Empires Dan Mora’s variant cover with Magneto and Captain America as Hydra agents met with controversary from Comic Book fans when he featured the pair in a lineup of villains that featured Hydra agents. Magneto, a Jewish Holocaust survivor, had an extreme hatred for Nazi’s!
Fans and readers of all comics will find several Secret Empire comic books for sale here at White Dragon Comics.
