September 2015 brought forth a multitude of great comic book stories and fabulous art work from all of the publishing companies, but the best-selling comic book of the month belonged to Marvel Comics. In fact, the top ten best-selling comic books came from Marvel Comics with five top-selling books followed by DC Comics with four titles and Image Comics had one title.
Cult phenomena Star Wars reigned supreme with three titles making the top ten; Journey Star Wars Force Awakens Shattered Empire #1, Star Wars #9 and Darth Vader #9. Journey was the number one best-selling comic book, Star Wars followed in second and Vader came in at number five. Marvels remaining top ten include, Deadpool Vs Thanos #1 in the fifth spot, Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows #5 in the sixth slot and Deadpool Vs Thanos #2 in tenth place.
DC Comics had four comic books in the top ten with Batman #44 in the third spot, Batman Annual #4 and Justice League #44. Also making the top ten, television and comic sensation The Walking Dead #146 from Image Comics.
With the increasing popularity of non-premier comic books Image, IDW, Oni Press, Valiant, Dark Horse and Archie Comics made it into the top hundred best sellers of premier books. We Stand On Guard #3, Tokyo Ghost #1, and Plutona #1 came from Image Comics along with Fight Club 2 #5 from Dark Horse Comics. Oni Press dazzled fans with Invader Zim #3 while Archie #3 from Archie Comics continued gain comic book fans with its new reboot and IDW’s cross-over Star Trek Green Lantern #3 put the publisher in the top hundred.
Doctor Who from Titan Comics took three top selling spots among the non-premier publishing companies. Oni Press’s Rick and Morty #6 broke into the top ten and Valiant Comics also had three spots with Book of Death #3, Book of Death Fall of Harbinger #1 and Bloodshot Reborn #6.
