One of the most Iconic Anti-Heroes to Spin Out of The Marvel Universe!
The Hulk is one of the most iconic hero/villains or anti-heroes to spin out of the Marvel Universe. The Hulk was given birth in The Incredible Hulk in May 1962, the brain child of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby the Hulk has been portrayed in several different comic books, on television and in block-buster films!
The Hulk’s creation was inspired by a combination of two of the worst monsters in history, Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the Hulk has lived up to that inspiration. Bruce Banner an emotionally reserved physicist, is accidently exposed to gamma rays resulting in Bruce’s ego being split in two with Bruce being in control of his body until he is angered or emotionally stressed, then he transforms into his alter-ego the Hulk.
Because of the Hulk’s iconic the character has been portrayed in several different alternate universes and alternate time-lines. The comic book has taken the character and introduced, because of alternate worlds and time-lines several versions of the Hulk. In other universes and timelines, the Hulk has taken on several different traits, has had his origin changed along with his behavior and morality.
Other Hulks portrayed in the Marvel Universe include She-Hulk, after receiving a blood-transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. The Grey Hulk, whom was a bit more in control of his intelligence, Red Hulk who carried a massive gun, killed with abandon, and had all the strength and power of the original Hulk, Skaar, the son of the Hulk and a few more female characters.
