March 2015 brought comic book fans some of the best comic books released to date. Marvel and DC Comics were the big hitters again this month. Image, IDW, Dark Horse and Zenescope Comics published all-new stories, with a couple of new number ones.
March 2015 was Marvel Comics biggest month of the year so far, taking nine of the top ten best seller’s spots. Star Wars keeps heating up the charts with new release Princess Leia, which quickly raced to the number one slot, selling out nationwide. Howard the Duck made its debut in March of 2015 and quickly became a fan-favorite with all variant covers selling-out.
DC Comics absence of Batman and Justice League shook up the ratings in March, knocking DC Comics almost completely out of the top ten. Batman: Arkham Knight issue number one was DC Comics only title in the top taking the ninth spot. Harley Quinn took the fourteenth spot for DC Comics and Detective Comics took the twentieth spot.
For the first time in month, Image’s Walking Dead dropped out of the top ten taking the thirteenth spot and fifteenth spot. Image Comics apocalyptic occult horror epic, Nameless continued with issue two. Big Man Plans # 1, a brutal crime drama debut this month for Image Comics along with an all-new sci-fi adventure in Chrononauts # 1.
Boom Comics released eighties cult classic Bill and Teds excellent Adventure in a brand new comic book, Bill and Teds Most Triumphant Return # 1. Dark Horse Comics released a new tale for young adults Itty Bitty Comics: Grimmiss Island # 1 and gave fans a good dose of horror with, Dark Horse Presents # 8. Legendary Comics continued its unique look at horror with Harvester # 2.
